10:10

Au Bon Pain again. I think Elena may still be asleep. I hope.

Last night was wild fun!

This morning I woke up - left Elena asleep and came to the Square for ham and Swiss bagel brekky. Picked up a Monet poster for only $6 (70% off!!!) Cool!

15:09 the Co-op

Went to Adams House and found Merrill in the dining hall. Message from Elena: Be back by 15:30 for dinner with her brother and sister. Weird. Well, I'm here and waiting! Oh, left my Monet at Merrill's. Will have to retrieve it.

Written next day

Elena's sister Carina and her boyfriend Chris picked us up from Massachusetts Avenue and took us to Hingham by car to have dinner with their adoptive brother Heineken, his wife Sharon, and their kids Kyle and Marcus. Very yummy veg lasagne for dinner, followed by fruit and frozen yoghurt, then baseball and frisbee in the back yard. We went in and chatted, left about 21:00 (maybe a bit later).

[This was a very fun evening. Over twenty years later I remember it being a large-ish wooden house, with a back porch opening onto a large grassy yard. Kyle and Marcus were keen to play games, and I joined in with them. Naturally they played baseball, but I recall trying to get them to hit the ball like with a cricket bat style for a while, but didn't get very far with that.]

I crashed at Elena's, but she went to a farewell party for Pluen then off to the library to study.
