written next day

Woke late, about 10:00. Drove with Allison to Fairfield to pick up my suitcase. She did five loads of laundry, which took some time! We went to Joe's Buffet in downtown Fairfield for lunch. Good and filling. Sandwiches and potato salad.

Back to the Henke's, where a Giants versus Florida Marlins game started on TV at 16:30. It was the second of a double header (after rain cancelled the previous day's game). The Giants had lost the first game 7-3. Before the game began, however, Allison and I left for the Jelly Belly factory to secure me some cheap jelly beans. We had to rush, since the store closed/closes (pick a suitable tense there...) at 17:00. We made it with five minutes to spare and hurriedly grabbed some stuff. I bagged two two-pound bags of Belly Flops ($3.50 each! bargain!!).

Went back, where the Giants were losing 1-0. By the time we left they were losing 2-1, and we kept track on the radio as we drove. Home to Novato, I kept listening as Allison and Terry went to the store for meat and Ben & Jerry's! We won the baseball 4-3, then had spaghetti bolognese as we watched the last episode of Cheers. We also pigged heavily on chocolate ice cream - I had Ben & Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk while Terry and Allison shared a Super Fudge Brownie. Much ice cream.

Went to bed to get up 05:30 to be at the airport early.
