And now, it's morning again. Further details of what has already been mentioned:
I met Charles Seeger at Allison's wedding reception, a retired astronomer who had a lot to do with Arecibo and the first NASA SETI project. And I called Elena on Friday morning to let her know I had arrived here okay. Left the message on her machine. Miss her.
Allison's parents' place, Fairfield. Today we eventually got everyone up when Rich came and knocked on the door, waking Greg and Scott. We drove over here and had some brekky. Then out with Jan (Allison's dad), Greg, and Scott to get ice and cheese for the drinks and hamburgers, respectively.
Back here the Wren family arrived, then Brian (one of Terry's ushers at the wedding) and Matt (Tina's boyfriend). The barbecue was prepared and burgers cooked. We ate them with potato salad and home made baked beans. Not bad. We also watched the videos of the wedding and reception that Rich took. Some bits were quite amusing. Then we just lazed a bit.
Early evening the young'uns (me, Tina, Matt, Scott, Gregg, Erick) went to Scandia's for some fun. We raced twice on the go-karts, then did some air hockey and video games. Came back here, racing a mean white car with "MAX DIS" plates at some lights on the way. Pretty funny. I hope we didn't annoy the other driver when we won! He did overtake us later. [I remember being highly amused by this, until someone else in our car pointed out that they hoped the driver of the other car wasn't carrying a gun. That thought never even occurred to me.]
Back here, Rich and Scott left for their home. Laurel, Gregg, and Erick are staying until Tuesday. I called Mandelbear to see if a Tuesday evening arrival would be okay with him. It is, so I'll be hitting Grand Central Starport a day early. Should be fun! Just one and a bit more days in this madhouse...
Oh yeah... Greg says I need to mention that Jan keeps on pestering me to eat... even when I don't want to...
