Logan Airport. I've just boarded CO713 to Denver and San Francisco. Hopefully the weather there will be more pleasant. It is a dull, grey, wet day in Boston. I just said bye to Elena for another indeterminate time.
Yesterday: Elena showed up and we had co-op soup, rice, pita, and cheese for dinner. Star Trek after - another Q episode. Then over to Merrill's in the rain. Got nice and wet.
We bummed around for a couple of hours. Saw Shana's cat, feeling much better. Very active, in fact - it tried to escape from her room a couple of times. Said bye to Shana and Cynthia and Merrill. Some nice hugs. Walked back to the co-op in the rain again with Elena.
Got up this morning and did final packing of stuff while Elena showered. Wandered down to the T at Harvard Square with all the junk and hopped trains to the airport. Checked in luggage, then got a muffin at Dunkin' Donuts. Elena just got some coffee. We sat and ate and chatted. I took a picture, which I really hope turns out.
Eventually we had to join the queue to go through the security check. Hugs exchanged while waiting... we were overtaken by a few people. Waved bye and went to the boarding area. Now aboard and taxiing to take off.
San Francisco, from Vista Point, Sausalito |
Boy, am I tired! Not surprising considering it is 01:00 in Boston. I got to see a bit of Denver Airport, then back on the plane to San Francisco.
San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge |
Allison picked me up and drove us back here to her place. [In Novato, in Marin County, north of San Francisco.]
Golden Gate Bridge |
I dumped stuff and we ate sourdough bread and cheese. Then to the Mall for some shop checking out. I bought Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin posters. Back here in time for dinner. Then out to Noble & Barnes book store for Terry to get a gift for a guy in the bridal party. Back here and I am trying to contact Rowan about tomorrow night's dinner. Then... I shall crash!
[When I returned home from this trip, I had the two Disney posters block mounted and they hung in my room for some years.]
