23:15

Today was lazy. I rose at about 10:30. Allison came over and we went to Cal Yee's dried fruit store - on a farm not far from Fairfield. Then we went to the Jelly Belly factory and I bought over $20 worth of jelly beans! Yummy!

We came home again and then, after sloppy joes(!) and bacon and tomato sandwiches for dinner, drove out to the Fairfield Daily Republic newspaper office so Allison's mum could give us a guided tour. [Allison's mother worked at this newspaper. And sloppy joes in America are a sort of sandwich made with a minced meat filling. Very weird coming from Australia, where a sloppy joe is a fleecy pullover.] We went to Target at Vallejo so Allison could buy a book case, then came home and relaxed as we watched the Giants lose 9-2 to the Dodgers.

I should begin packing to go home tonight, but I'm too tired. Tomorrow we hit San Francisco again.

Tomorrow is the last day that any mail from home has to reach me here. Nobody has written me anything except for Denise, and Mellie today.

[I took no photos on this day.]
