The Phantom of the Opera.

Was it ever good! Robert Guillame was very good as the Phantom, Christine was excellent, Raoul (played by an understudy) was brilliant, Meg was brilliant too. Firmin and Andre were pretty funny. It was just great overall.

During the day we did the tour of Universal Studios. That was great. The earthquake part was absolutely amazing. We saw the stunt show and the Star Trek show - both really funny and entertaining. We saw all sorts of great stuff: Jaws, King Kong, set for The Sting, McHale's Navy, Murder She Wrote, etc, and the Bates Motel!! Yeah!

Amity
Amity set, from Jaws, Universal Studios

We had lunch at Mel's Diner, saw the Hill Valley square from Back to the Future, and looked at lots of movie stuff - famous people's autographs and clothing and stuff.

Bates House
Bates house, from Psycho, Universal Studios

Back to the motel, shower and change for the evening. Dinner at Otto Rothschilds Bar and Grill, near the Ahmanson Theatre, before seeing Phantom. At interval I bought four (count them: myself, Gina, Michael, Debby) programmes and two (me and Neil) T-shirts.

Tomorrow is a relax day. Hollywood and stuff like that.
