Day 3 - San Francisco

Monday, 25 June, 1990

02:00, Tuesday morning

I'm lying here on my bed in Allison's house. Allison and Tina have gone to bed and so will I soon.

I woke up about 08:30 for breakfast of corn flakes and toast before driving into San Francisco - via the Golden Gate Bridge (from the north) and the fog! -

drove along part of the 49-Mile Drive to see Ocean Beach, Seal Rock,

then up to Twin Peaks (cold, windy, and foggy) for a view of the city,

down to Pier 39 (where parking was $3/hour),

took lots of photos of it and Alcatraz, went across to see the Ghirardelli sign, then to The Presidio and Fort Point,

through some major city areas, then out to Vista Point [Sausalito] for the last pics on my film,

then north to Allison's boyfriend Carl's place for a surprise visit, out with both fo them to Chevy's Mexican Restaurant for dinner (quesadillas!), to Swenson's for ice cream (boy, those banana splits are big!), to see the movie Total Recall with Arnie (Schwarzenegger!!), then back to Carl's to get Allison's car to come home and talk to Tina for a while before writing this out so I don't forget it and then crashing for the night!
