Java Star Mapper
This is a preliminary version of an interactive Java star mapping
application that I am working on. At this stage, there is no documentation
and you have to know how to extract .jar files and run Java classes.
If this is you, and you are interested, please download the .jar file
and run the class "StarChart.class".
The included .cfg file is for configuration, and the .txt file is a
sample data file. I'm interested in any feedback!
Warning: Due to a bug in Sun's JDK 1.1.4 and 1.1.5, the listboxes will
update very slowly if you use
one of these versions of the Java Virtual Machine.
This bug is fixed in JDK 1.1.6, which I suggest you download if you
don't have it yet.
- Download StarChart.jar (37342 bytes).
(Download this to your local disk by right-clicking and selecting
Save to Disk.)
- If you have trouble getting the file to download in binary format
(particularly with Netscape 4 on PCs), Download
StarChart.exe instead, and rename it to StarChart.jar before
extracting the files.
