Al Jazira has become another favourite of mine. The food is traditionally Lebanese, with lots of spit-cooked meats
and various vegetarian delights. There are lots of dips and yummy fried entrees, but go easy because you'll be
stuffed if you tackle a full main course afterwards. Mains are served with fresh Lebanese bread. Try the felafels
or the kebabs. For value and variety, the mixed plates are excellent (there's vegetarian and carnivore versions).
For dessert there's Turkish delight and really strong coffee in itty bitty cups. And on Friday and Saturday
evenings there's a live belly dancer.
Unfortunately Al Jazira has closed, to be replaced by a modern Vietnamese place.
