[Given the time zones, involved, I probably left Sydney on Tuesday, 11 May, but it would still have been Monday evening when I landed in Honolulu.]
My first airline dinner for two years! It wasn't too bad.
But what chaos earlier! Last minute arrangement and e-mails and phone calls. Much fun and mayhem. (Heh... I can laugh now - I'm not so sure it was amusing at the time.) [Years later, I have no idea what was so hectic or chaotic about this departure.]
Anyway, here I am, far over the Pacific, Honolulu bound. I'm just glad I managed to set my watch to Hawaii time - the "set" button is playing games and being generally hard to get along with.
Um... what else? My plan of getting a seat next to someone young and cute didn't work too well... But the guy who did have the seat by me has now moved into one of the two seats in front (which were both empty) so we both scored ourselves extra room. Not too bad!
I'm giving the in-flight sound a listen - since they have a special profile on Suzanne Vega. I'll have to buy some of her stuff when I get home. [Indeed, I did, getting all four of her albums available at that time.]
Now if only I can grab some sleep before hitting (not literally, I hope) Oahu...
