Whew! We made it back home!

Allison and I slept in at the motel until 09:00. We checked out and waved goodbye to LA and we rode "scenic" Highway 5 north.

Ahmanson Theatre
Ahmanson Theatre, where we saw Phantom of the Opera four days ago

After about 9 hours of driving we arrived back home. We didn't see much on that straight, long stretch of dull road through the boring farms of California's Central Valley. Except for one real, live, running roadrunner. Yeah! He ran straight across the road in front of us.

Allison's mum had a cake ready for Allison's 21st birthday (last Saturday). She (Allison) liked the Phantom book I gave her before we went to see the show.

I've learnt tonight that we (Allison, her mum, Colleen, and me) (I) are leaving for Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon at about 02:00 on Friday morning! Great. And I hope my remaining $105.40 survives the trip!
